Walther's Banner Patent Mod. 9 Pistol
Walther's patent Mod. 9 is a very unique pistol. The Walther Model 9 was
introduced in 1921 one year after the Model 8. The Model 9 is a very small vest
pocket semi-automatic pistol. 25 ACP or 6.5 Cal. Serialized 605906.The grip
escutcheons are the same as the ones shown in "The Standard Catalog of Firearms
2006, pg 1290." The Mod. 9 had the standard blowback design with a concealed
hammer. The recoil spring is housed underneath the barrel. The safety lever is
on the left side of the frame behind the trigger. There is a fixed front sight
on the barrel with a sighted groove that extends down the back part of the
receiver. The rear of the slide has an indicator pin that protrudes out of the
rear of the receiver. It is approximately 4 inches in length at about 9 ounces.
It also has the original Walther clip, the blueing is 99%, the bore is
Excellent, and the grips are Excellent. Overall condition is excellent. FFL
required.
